Michelle is the owner and director of Micki’s Dance Connection. She has owned the studio for 20 years. As a former Elite Gymnast, Michelle built and grew Micki's strong acro/gymnastics program. Teaching her students strong tumbling skills and unique tricks. Michelle trained and competed for many years under the direction of Don and Boni
Michelle is the owner and director of Micki’s Dance Connection. She has owned the studio for 20 years. As a former Elite Gymnast, Michelle built and grew Micki's strong acro/gymnastics program. Teaching her students strong tumbling skills and unique tricks. Michelle trained and competed for many years under the direction of Don and Bonita Rope at the Cambridge Kips Gymnastic Club. As well as being a former gymnast and gymnastics coach. Michelle is also a Registered Nurse and Fitness Instructor. Michelle’s daughters grew up dancing at the studio and were competitive dancers at Micki’s Dance Connection for many years sharing the love of dance and the joy of helping others accomplish their goals. Michelle’s experience and talent help set Micki’s apart from other studios.
Micki was the owner/director of Micki’s Dance Connection from 1987 to 2004 and brings over 25 years of experience teaching, choreographing, directing & performing in the dance industry and has returned to the studio as our Office Administrator. Micki is certified through Dance Masters of America and was the recipient of the Ronnie Demarco
Micki was the owner/director of Micki’s Dance Connection from 1987 to 2004 and brings over 25 years of experience teaching, choreographing, directing & performing in the dance industry and has returned to the studio as our Office Administrator. Micki is certified through Dance Masters of America and was the recipient of the Ronnie Demarco Jazz Scholarship. She also received a full scholarship to the New England Dance and Gymnastics Program in Rhode Island and was the recipient of the Dance Masters of America Scholarship for achieving 100% on her jazz certification exam. Micki has been a guest artist at the Etobicoke School of the Arts and currently travels throughout North America adjudicating dance competitions. Many of Micki’s students have trained at Regional & National levels and have travelled the globe receiving numerous scholarships, titles and overall awards. Many of these students are currently enjoying careers in the dance industry on cruise lines, television and Broadway shows.
Megan grew up dancing at Mickis since the young age of 2 years old. She was a competitive dancer up until she was 18 years old. Training in Ballet, Jazz, Acro, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Tap. Winning many overalls and scholarships. She received many opportunities to travel to workshops all over Canada and travel to L. A to attend classes f
Megan grew up dancing at Mickis since the young age of 2 years old. She was a competitive dancer up until she was 18 years old. Training in Ballet, Jazz, Acro, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Tap. Winning many overalls and scholarships. She received many opportunities to travel to workshops all over Canada and travel to L. A to attend classes from world-famous choreographers. Megan became a teachers' assistant and quickly advanced into teaching her own classes. Megan has a strong passion and a love for children. Megan attended the University of Waterloo and received her degree in Social Development Studies, then continuing on to receive an EA diploma. During Megan's time at Waterloo University she choreographed for "Fashion for Change" the biggest club on campus and became the Artist Director 2018 - 2019. Megan always knew she wanted to work with children. She recently became an RBT, working with children who are Diagnosed with Autism Specturm Disorder. She is dedicated in supporting children with special needs, leveraging extensive experience, utilizes a compassionate and individualized approach to support each child’s unique needs. She is now back teaching at Micki's. Running the Hip Hop, Contemporary and Musical Theatre program. Getting certified in Acrobatic Art and she will be taking on a lead role in teaching acro. Teaching both Recreational and Competitive dancers. Megan has a love for children and it shows when she teaches her students.
Jennifer has been a part of Micki’s Dance Connection family for 36 years, with the last 28 years of those teaching Jazz, Tap, Ballet & Acro to all ages.
Jennifer heads up our competitive team as well, teaching our younger recreational students which fits right in with being an Early Childhood Educator and Montessori Diploma. During the day
Jennifer has been a part of Micki’s Dance Connection family for 36 years, with the last 28 years of those teaching Jazz, Tap, Ballet & Acro to all ages.
Jennifer heads up our competitive team as well, teaching our younger recreational students which fits right in with being an Early Childhood Educator and Montessori Diploma. During the day Miss Jennifer is working at Breamar House School as the Pre-Montessori class teacher. She is also a certified dance teacher through Dance Masters of America. Micki’s Dance is very fortunate to have Miss Jennifer on our team. With patience, enthusiasm, and calm energy her goal is to fill the children with the knowledge they desire to become great dancers. Setting them up to be successful and to develop confidence. Her students adore her and her commitment to her students is evident in all their accomplishments, some of which have been featured in TV and theatre productions. Jennifer has also won many choreography awards and her choreography has been featured on many children's TV programs. Jennifer works hard to pass her love of dance and the pure joy of dance on to her students.
Hayley is a 28-year-old professionally trained dancer of 10 years. Graduating high school from Victorian College of the Arts secondary school, where she trained specialist studies in circus arts, focusing on Aerial work and partner Acrobatics. She later went on to train full time at Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance and the Joffrey Ballet
Hayley is a 28-year-old professionally trained dancer of 10 years. Graduating high school from Victorian College of the Arts secondary school, where she trained specialist studies in circus arts, focusing on Aerial work and partner Acrobatics. She later went on to train full time at Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance and the Joffrey Ballet School in New York. She has performed and competed in international level cheerleading and Dance for several years now, representing Australia in 2018 & 2023. Hayley has been a cheerleading and dance coach now since 2016. Being able to incorporate all elements of her professional and all-star life into coaching has made her both a unique and versatile choreographer, performer, judge and coach. She has experience in coaching beginners all the way through to elite performers. She is committed to encouraging the All-star community to grow through rigours and targeted feedback that is in promotion of safe, inclusive, and developmental dance practice that encourages creativity, and individualism performance; Inspiring environments for all to thrive in.
